Igor Grey was born on December 29, 1975, in Ukraine, specifically in the city of Shostka, Sumy region. He is the son of ordinary Soviet engineers. His journey as an artist began in his childhood, where he would draw, paint, and sculpt using any material he could find. During that time, most of his games involved drawing and modeling. At school, he received multiple awards for winning competitions and exhibitions. One day, while attending a plein-air event, the young boy had a life-changing encounter with an artist. This meeting solidified his decision to pursue a career as a professional painter. In 2001, Igor held his first exhibition at the Embassy of Iceland, which had a positive impact on his career. The following year, his participation in numerous exhibitions and competitions yielded success. Since 2012, he has resided in his hometown of Shostka. Since 2017, he has served as the director of the local art center and museums in Shostka. Igor works with various techniques, including oil painting, mixed media, and graphics. His artworks convey a strong sense of color and shape while showcasing an innovative approach. The influence of his native land's nature and the people around him intricately intertwines and forms the artist's perception of the surrounding world.
